Experiences of toxic leadership

We use storytelling to highlight the impact toxic leadership has on individuals. You can either read people's accounts in the articles below, or hear them tell their stories via our cartoons. The stories told through VENT are a compilation of lived experiences from around the world and are edited to ensure anonymity. Only parts which showcase patterns of abuse are shared. Any similarity to specific persons, companies and events are symptomatic of toxic leadership being a systemic issue which is characterized by patterns present across industries, roles, ages and genders. This content may be triggering to some readers due to recollections of traumatic events relating to, and as a consequence of, violence and harassment at work.
